The Swiss Federal Archives (SFA) organize modules covering the key know-how necessary to implement digital archiving in practice.
Target audience: The modules are aimed at interested parties from the administration and the private sector, and are particularly geared to the needs of managers and staff working in archive and records management.
Submitting digital records: Using the tool Package Handler to examine, edit and validate digital packages.
The participants will learn how to handle the tool developed by the SFA, the Package Handler, and they will learn how to submit digital records to the SFA.
Submitting digital records: Preparation of data from relational databases for the digital delivery to the SFA .
Database archiving using the SIARD suite tool (Software Independent Archiving of relational Databases) developed by the SFA.
