When using online access, you can obtain assistance with your research live via chat or on written request.

If you need assistance with your research in the fonds of the Federal Archives, the “Advice” section of online access offers you live chat. You can of course also send your enquiry to [e-mail].

Please note that due to an increased volume of enquiries, response times may currently be longer than usual. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Federal Archives staff are available to advise you via chat on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 midday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In the topics section of the Federal Archives website you will also find tips on frequently requested research areas.
