When using online access, you can obtain assistance with your research live via chat, on written request or via a chatbot (Beta).

If you need assistance with your research in the fonds of the Federal Archives, the “Advice” section of online access offers you live chat and the chatbot (in a beta version). You can of course also send your enquiry to [e-mail].

Federal Archives staff are available to advise you via chat on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 midday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In the topics section of the Federal Archives website you will also find tips on frequently requested research areas.
