Linked Data

The LINDAS (Linked Data Service) solution allows administrations to publish their data in the form of knowledge graphs and make them accessible via LINDAS.admin.ch. Developers can then access the data using an API and the query language SPARQL.

Demand for online publication of open government data (OGD) is growing. LINDAS makes this possible, without using downloadable files, at the 5-star level according to the data quality scale used in OGD, offering the best reuse potential.

Data are stored on LINDAS subject to payment of an annual financial contribution to cover the costs of operating the infrastructure. The services covered by the contribution are listed in the LINDAS_Dienstleistung (PDF, 2 MB, 18.05.2021) document (only available in German).

LINDAS was set up with the support of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and in close collaboration with the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) in a project that ran from 2017 to 2020.
