ADMINISTORY: online magazine

Registratur der Eidgenössischen Steuerverwaltung Bern

ADMINISTORY is a new open-access online magazine for the history of statehood and administration. The Swiss Federal Archives are launching it with the Universities of Vienna and Konstanz with a view to making the findings of research into the history of administration more accessible.

ADMINISTORY offers researchers an innovative space in which to publish and discuss their findings on the history of administration. The open-access online magazine is compatible with a wide variety of methodologies and theoretical approaches. International in scope and spanning all eras, it is intended to serve as an interface between cultural history research and debates on statehood and administration in the fields of social and political sciences and law.

Each issue of ADMINISTORY focuses on a particular theme while also leaving room for innovative methods and research reports on topical issues in the history of administration. The articles are in English and German, and each has passed through a peer review process.

The Swiss Federal Archives publishes ADMINISTORY in conjunction with the Austrian Institute of Historical Research (IÖG), the Cluster of Excellence 16 “Cultural Foundations of Integration” (EXC16) at the University of Konstanz and the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Social Science History (LBIHS) at the University of Vienna
